Pitch
My 4–5-minute mockumentary aims to entertain through comedy whilst also educating my audience the struggles of clashing ideas. The film is targeted towards teens as they are more likely to be engaged with the genre. The film will be uploaded onto the Jinjasnap Youtube channel as that is where they’re is most likely to view it. The themes used will be teamwork, and overconfidence.

young, aspiring workers attempt to create a film, but with clashing ideals and a
director in over his own head, that may prove difficult.
The characters include; an egotistical, director, an actor who is full of themselves.
Finally, there is a grounded editor. None of them are given names to help the
audience relate.
The film starts with an interview with the director, who
believes that the documentary is being made as of rumours that the film is
going to do incredible numbers. We find out however, that the editor called them
in to expose the director. This is followed by footage that shows off their
daily lives. Voice overs will be used to give context throughout the entire
film.
Throughout the film there will be a use of lighting to represent
the potential future of these characters, this will be done as a gag. We end
the final film with them getting back from a meeting after being told to cancel
the whole project.
The locations I plan to use are a computer room to represent
the editing room. The ‘home’ of the ‘director,’ this will end up being either
one of the cast members houses or a social space within school. The small
forest behind the school to be a set the characters must
film in that day. The final location will be either an available office or
study room used for interview segments.
I believe that you should choose our company as the film
being a mockumentary brings in benefits such as
being interesting for a younger audience. It is becoming more common for the
youth of today to strive towards jobs that are less traditional. This therefore
gives my film a unique selling point. I have studied media for years so know
how a finished film should feel. The key issues to
tackle will be that of location but I alternatives.
